Baglan Dragons & Baglan BGC merger

Club announcement:

We are proud to announce approval through the FAW National Board of the merger of Baglan Boys & Girls Club and Baglan Dragons Football Club.

We are excited to embark on a one club journey that will now see all football teams play under Baglan Dragons FC.

Over the last decade, football at Baglan has been on a journey of growth through innovation and the dedication of its hard working committee members and volunteers from within the local community.

We believe that the merger of the two clubs will make the club more sustainable and will enhance the experience for all members, allowing us to develop our facilities for the local community.

With over 400 players, the club is at the heart of the local community, with our men's first team competing at tier 2 level, and the vast majority of first team players come from the local area. We pride ourselves on developing local players.

Our commitment to inclusivity is at the forefront of our values. We are very proud to have a thriving boys and girls section which has been hugely successful in developing local youngsters, both on and off the pitch. We look forward to the further development and opportunities over the coming years.

We have also just started our first inclusion football team and look forward to growing and developing this section in the near future.
